Konsenti seeks to revolutionize the way human beings form consenus by recording and accounting peoples desires and intentions.

Welcome to the Konsenti User Community

Welcome to the Konsenti User Community. This is a community of users and implementors of the Konsenti consensus-building system.

We are actively looking for people will to test and give feedback on our system. We are currently moving from a prototype to a beta version that will be ready for heavy usage. If you are interested in helping, please contact <read@robertlread.net>, or just go to the konsenti site and start using the system.

Esperanto for Project Gutenberg --- Our first real market

I've recently made a lot of improvements to Konsenti, including a greatly enhanced customization of a market appearance. The creator of a market can now upload a logo and custom CSS, to give the market a look and feel that matches there needs. The can also create a custom url for their market, in the form "mycustommarket.konsenti.com". Any user that enters the site via that URL will see their customizations, and will only see the offer that are in that market. This should simplify things for market users.

Moved to a new 64-bit server.

Konsenti is now hosted on a very nice 64-bit server.

If anything is slow, it can now be blamed very squarely on the chief programmer (me.)

Back to work and seeking volunteers to test....

As of July 5, I am now back to working full-time on Konsenti. I am in need of volunteers to give me feedback on the site. In the next few months I hope to move from "functional but not very usable" to "insanely great". If you can spare a few hours or fractions of an hour, please use the site and communicate your impressions to me.

Just upgraded to Drupal 5.1...

There was security problem with Drupal. I have just upgraded this site. It looks weird (but beautiful!) to me. I may try to adjust some things to get back some of the original look.

Konsenti down Feb. 20-21st for Elephant upgrade

Dear Users,
Konsenti will be down sometime in the next 48 hours to upgrade our underlying database technology.

Konsenti is build on top of the Elephant Common Lisp Object Database, an open-source, free, and remarkably convenient database for LISP objects. As it happens I am the co-maintainer of Elephant (along with Ian Eslick) and we have recently produced an alpha release. I will be upgrading Konsenti to that release of Elephant.

As this requires some tricky data conversion, it is not perfectly clear how long the site will be dow

How to Create a Lunch Bunch

I've written a document that serves as a kind of tutorial to market and offer creation, based around the particular example of creating a market for repeatedly deciding where to go to lunch with your friends.

New Version up

The latest version of Konsenti is now up. It is now referenced as just "konsenti.com/blah", without the need to specify the port number as previously.

Major features include a very powerful multi-date calendar for displaying and setting dates and times with a minimal number of mouse clicks.

For some waydob types, an offer owner can now cancel a transition so that, for example, if you know that someone is not really going to provide a resource or show up to a lunch as committed, you can remove their transition. A permanent record of your removal remains in the history (which now shows transition dates), and you can reverse your reversal later if conditions so warrant.

Planned Maintenance: Jan 12th-14th

I will be upgrading the site this weekend. This normally takes several hours. I'm not sure precisely when I will do it, but the site will be offline during that time.

Help with web design

Hi.

Nice forum design. Okay, I need your advice.
So, I wanna make my little sister's site, and I am looking for site template.
Can you suggest some online store or other resource where I can find many site templates?

It would be better if it will be free:)
I think many of us have personal sites, do you design it yourself?

Thanks, Bill.
